ABM WINS THREE-YEAR DEAL WORTH £1.1M WITH BELFAST RETAIL COMPLEX

Facilities solutions provider ABM has won a  £1.1 million contract with a shopping centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland, as the firm opened a new branch office in the city.

 

The three-year contract is with Bloomfield Shopping Centre & Retail Park in Bangor, 13 miles north-east of Belfast.

 

About 20 of ABM's specialist staff will supply the shopping centre and retail park with cleaning and security services. The 417,000 square foot shopping centre, run by property management company Savills, opened in 1992. It offers four million visitors a year a choice of 50 retailers split between a covered mall and retail warehouse units.

 

ABM has experience of working in the retail sector, and provides a wide range of FM services to clients including: The Centre, Livingston in Scotland; Victoria Place Shopping Centre in London; and Grand Central Shopping Centre in Birmingham's New Street Station.

 

The firm has appointed Kyle Russell as regional manager to build on the local portfolio from its new office in Belfast.

 

Kim Harris, integrated facility solutions director of ABM, said the deal with Bloomfield Shopping Centre & Retail Park is the latest addition to its retail portfolio, adding that “with customer retention at the heart of our service, we expect many more in the coming months and years”.
