AM Services Group has acquired Liverpool-based, family-owned SLS Washroom Services.

Lancashire-based facilities management business AM Services Group said the deal would deepen its penetration of the washroom services market in the north of England and Wales, and give it a larger share of the hospitality market.

“It’s never easy for a company to give up its identity to another, especially when it has such a sense of local pride and reputation,” said AM Services Group’s managing director Adrian Cresswell. “We are certain that we will do the business and the people of Liverpool proud with our caring approach, willingness to listen, and the ‘One Team, One Goal’ ethos of our staff.”

SLS Washroom Services has been providing washroom and waste disposal services to customers in Merseyside, Cheshire, and parts of Wales since 2005.

Its former director Steve Handley said: “Our focus was to provide a reliable, friendly and flexible service to small and medium-size businesses who preferred not to deal with the large multinational companies that dominate the sector. We were keen to find a purchaser who would provide the same reliable, friendly and flexible service that we worked hard to provide.”

AM Services Group was founded in 2002 and is expanding across the North West, North East, Yorkshire, and the Midlands.

The group bought industrial cleaning firm Cleanex Contract Service Limited in Staffordshire last year.
