Innovation in Technology and Systems

A series of innovations that enabled AstraZeneca to transform its Macclesfield operations site to cater for increased occupancy helped the company scoop this year’s award.

Touch-screen digital signage, videoconferencing, motion sensors to track usage, and real-time booking were used to create a technologically advanced and agile workplace.

The company is keen to roll out the solutions across the global estate.

Highly commended: Intu in partnership with Invida – Lifecycle: out of the shadows

New Product or Service of the Year

Rapid Washrooms’ use of real-time data to monitor use of toilets and soap dispensers and more effectively schedule maintenance, has won them the award in this category.

In a project at Heathrow Terminal 2, moving from reactive to predictive maintenance, freeing up staff time and installing a central reservoir of cleaning chemicals helped reduce overall washroom complaints significantly.
