19 March 2012
Royal Bank of Scotland has awarded a staff dining and corporate hospitality contract to BaxterStorey, part of Westbury Street Holdings (WSH).
The five-year deal sees BaxterStory preparing meals and fine dining for around 50,000 employees at the bank’s offices throughout the UK.
Alastair Storey, WSH chief executive and chairman of BaxterStorey, said the RBS contract was “a truly significant deal for the company as we enter our next phase of growth”.
BaxterStorey’s sister company, benugo, will also operate its café and deli bars at a number of RBS locations.
Last week WSH – which also encompasses Holroyd Howe and Caterlink – announced turnover growth of 12 per cent for the past year.
Turnover was “more than £406 million”, £44 million more than 2010, according to a company statement.
BaxterStorey, the biggest brand in the WSH stable, grew turnover by 7.6 per cent in England, 20 per cent in Ireland and 25 per cent in Scotland during 2011, said the statement.
BaxterStorey business wins last year included Goldman Sachs, Network Rail, BlackRock and BBC Salford Quays. It also operates in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway.
