Engie has secured a five-year contract to provide a range of maintenance services to TfL (Transport for London).

Under the terms of the deal, Engie is to be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance for mechanical and electrical systems and fire detection and suppression systems across the London Underground network, which covers more than 500 locations.

Engie is also to offer its energy management services to TfL.

Wilfrid Petrie, CEO of Engie in the UK & Ireland, said: “Engie is committed to improving the lives of the communities and customers we serve. In helping to improve performance and efficiency in London’s transport systems our input will have wide-ranging, beneficial effects for the millions of people who travel in the capital every day.”

The news follows the appointment of Lanes Group in April to a £65 million, five-year deal to provide facilities maintenance services across TfL sites.
