GKN Aerospace has awarded OCS a facilities services contract worth more than £5 million.
Under the five-year deal, OCS will provide cleaning services for office and industrial areas, reception and vending services, along with logistics, loading and waste operations at GKN’s Filton and Western Approach sites in Bristol.
At Western Approach, the company will also supply security services.
OCS operatives will be providing services for around 1,000 staff across the two sites.
“Over the past 12 months, we have established strong
relationships with the client and listened carefully to their
requirements,” said Andrew Mortimer, client services director for OCS.
GKN Aerospace is a first tier supplier of highly complex composite and metallic aero-structures and engine products to the global aviation industry.
In January 2009, it acquired Airbus UK’s Filton wing component and assemblies manufacturing facility and began production at the Western Approach Distribution Park in Severn Beach in 2010.
