GSH appoints MD UK & Ireland

Facilities group GSH has appointed Paul Cottam as its new managing director, UK & Ireland.

Cottam is a chartered engineer with more than 20 years experience in the technical support services sector and also sits on the board of the British Safety Council.

Most recently he was managing director of an FM business within G4S where he had responsibility for a wide range of projects in both the public and private sector. In addition, he was instrumental in establishing an energy management business and a technical audit and support function.

Cottam has previously worked for GSH Group having joined the company in 1992 as a management trainee and later becoming a board member as regional managing director and commercial director. He started his career as a mechanical engineering apprentice before studying building services engineering at Manchester University.

Also joining GSH is Richard Roberts who becomes group HR director and joins from Virgin Media.
