ISS Facility Services Landscaping is to expand its million-pound Highland Council landscaping contract with the addition of Skye and Lochaber.
The contract, originally secured in April 2011, operates from offices in Inverness and Elgin and satellite locations in Fort William, Aviemore and Portree.
Between 10 and 12 teams, supplemented by nine independent one-man contractors, tackle the council’s highways and open spaces.
New regions added to the contract cover more than 6.5 million square metres (nearly 70 million square feet) in Mid and West Ross, Badenoch and Strathspey as well as Inverness and Nairn.
ISS Facility Services has operated its landscaping service in the UK for 30 years and employs more than 1,500 core and 100 seasonal staff who operate from over 40 depots and offices.
