The University of Liverpool has appointed Integral in a three-year maintenance contract for its entire portfolio.
Under the contract, which started last month, Integral is providing planned and reactive mechanical, electrical and fabric maintenance services to the university portfolio covering nearly 465,000 square metres (five million square feet).
Properties include residential housing, academic buildings, the Ness Botanical Gardens and School of Veterinary Science on the Wirral.
Integral will be working alongside the university’s own in-house maintenance team, according to a statement from Integral.
The university, with more than 25,000 students, plans to invest £600 million in its facilities, including a £250 million redevelopment of student accommodation.
“This significant future investment will deliver new world-class facilities together with ongoing improvement and refurbishment of the existing estate and key infrastructure,” according to a statement from Integral.
Andy Nichol, Integral’s regional director for the North, said Integral is “working closely and collaboratively with the university to deliver a world-class experience for their students in the coming years”.
