8 February 2010
Mersey Care NHS Trust is to renew its four-year £15.5m framework contract for M&E, including planned preventative maintenance and unplanned, emergency and minor new works.
The contract is coming to its end and must be re-tendered under European Union regulations, a spokesperson for the trust told FM World. He would make no comment on which companies are currently on the framework, nor how many firms.
The trust’s properties are dispersed across around 60 sites both, some owned and others rented. There are around 700 in-patient beds on 13 of the sites.
Mersey Care NHS Trust was established in 2001 to provide specialist mental health and learning disability services for the people of Liverpool, Sefton, and Kirkby. It’s goal it so improve the work and life experience of people with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties, and also their carers.
Contractors must submit pre-qualification questionnaires by 16 February.
