Hanover Housing Association has awarded Ayrshire-based Sercon Support Services a contract for its Edinburgh head office.
Janet McGrouther, Hanover’s procurement and facilities manager, said the cleaning and security service provider won the contract after successfully taking part in a competitive tender that started in early December.
Sercon’s managing director Lorraine Stevely welcomed the contract and "building on this new partnership. This contract further strengthens our existing portfolio of office cleaning, close cleaning and deep cleans, which we currently provide to a number of housing associations across the central belt.”
Around 100 Hanover staff work at the head office, which includes a call centre and conference centre.
The company manages homes for more than 5,000
residents throughout Scotland, offering a choice of rented,
shared-ownership, shared-equity and fully-owned housing.
Sercon's cleaning services range from general office cleaning and close-cleaning to specialist deep-cleans, including aviation and wind turbines. Other services include pest control and window cleaning, manned guarding and mobile patrols, emergency response, key-holding and vacant property inspections.
