Sodexo Horticultural Services has won a five-year contract with South Oxfordshire District Council and Vale of White Horse District Council.
The contract, with a three-year option, includes the maintenance of 180 hectares of parks and open spaces, children’s play areas, sports pitches and a nine-hole pitch and putt course.
As part of the agreement, Sodexo will also look after the councils’ artificial pitches, keep park pathways clear of snow and ice, and dig graves for council-owned cemeteries.
“This is a fantastic win for us and further strengthens our partnership approach,” said regional director for Sodexo Horticultural Services Matthew Fowler.
“We are focused on retaining a great team and truly engaging with the community, as well as working alongside the client to develop innovations that deliver real value."
Sodexo Horticultural Services includes grounds maintenance, hard and soft landscaping, sports ground maintenance, interior plant displays and green waste recycling.
