Willmott Dixon wins £10.6m LSE contract

20 March 2012

Willmott Dixon has won a £10.6 million project to fit-out a new eight-storey building for the London School of Economics (LSE).

The 11,500 square metre (124,000 square foot) project follows LSE’s acquisition last year of 32 Lincoln’s Inn Fields to enlarge its campus.

Willmott Dixon will carry out a full internal modernisation of the Grade two listed building to integrate it with LSE’s campus.

The fast-track programme will give the building new interior. It involves stripping out chimney stacks and partitions as well as mechanical and electrical services.

Willmott Dixon starts on site this month, working with LSE’s project manager Davis Langdon. Work is expected to be complete by November.

Also on the team are architect Jestico and Whiles, structural engineers Ellis & Moore,  and M&E services designers Hoare Lea.
