Carillion Planned Maintenance appoints MD

Carillion has appointed Dominic Shorrocks as managing director of Carillion Planned Maintenance.

Shorrocks joins Carillion from Homeserve where he was chief operating officer for Homeserve Emergency Services.  His began his career with BMW Rover as a manufacturing and business graduate and, more recently, has worked for British Gas Services as director for new-growth business.

Formerly known as PME, the planned maintenance business was acquired by Carillion in March 2005.  As a result of the recent acquisition of Alfred McAlpine, the number of employees rose from 3,500 to 4,600 and turnover increased from £175 million to £650 million.
