Are you a strategic business thinker? Do you think you can predict the future?
The past 12 months have been some of the most turbulent in recent history and, if the word from the Bank of England and the government is anything to go by, 2009 is set to be equally fraught both for businesses and consumers alike.
Could you predict what the inflation rate will be in a year¹s time, or how high unemployment will rise? Will we still have the same prime minister and chancellor in Downing Street or will there have been a general election?
Will Peter Mandleson be in the Cabinet or will he have been forced to resign for a third time? How will the economic turbulence affect office rents and vacancy rates around the UK?
In the sporting arena which team will win the FA Cup, the English Premiership, the Champions League, and who be victorious at Wimbledon and the Golf Open?
If you think you can make predictions for the next 12 months on the topics of politics, sport, economics and the workplace, then take part in the Fantasy Futures competition organised by Advanced Workplace Associates in association with
FM World. All you have to do is register your predictions by clicking the Fantasy Futures competition link above.
As the year unfolds updates will be published in
FM World and we¹ll email you to let you know where you stand in the league table. At the end of the year we¹ll announce the name of the workplace futurist of 2009 and they will be presented with a cheque for £250 at the BIFM conference in March 2010.
The closing date for entries to the Fantasy Futures competition is
9 January 2009 and the winner will be chosen from the entrant with the most correct answers.
