FM World has launched the 2008 salary survey, conducted in association with
recruitment firm PSD.
This is your opportunity to tell us about your remuneration package - your bonus, benefits and basic salary and also what matters most in your career. And you could win £500.
The questionnaire will take less than 10 minutes to complete and can be filled in online. Just click on the link below.
The 2007
FM World Salary Survey, again run with PSD, was a resounding success. Last autumn more than 500 of you returned questionnaires telling us exactly what mattered most about your job. The analysis showed that salary was the most important factor in your career.
In 2004 63 per cent said that salary was the most important element, in 2005 this rose to 67 per cent and it reached 71 per cent in 2006. Last year this hit 72 per cent. Hard cash was also more important to those working for service providers than those in in-house roles. But the gender pay gap continues to remain a trend in FM, with the survey revealing that women earn substantially less than men.
FMs’ focus on their pay packet has been matched by a rise in their contents with 46 per cent reporting pay rises in the 3-4 per cent bracket with 53 per cent of people believing they’ll receive a 3-4 per cent increase at their next salary review.
But in this time of economic doom and gloom did this actually happen? This is where you come in. Once again we would like you to tell us about your remuneration package. The information you give us will help us to build up a complete and accurate picture of our readers’ salary packages. We will publish the results in January 2009 so that you can see how you compare to your counterparts in other organisations. We hope you recognise the value of this research and will take a couple of minutes to complete the online form which can be accessed by clicking on the link below.
All your answers will be treated as confidential and will NOT be disclosed to ANYONE who isn’t connected to this survey. They will only be analysed in aggregate form (by an independent data analysis provider) and you will NOT receive any communication from us or other firms trying to sell you things as a result of your answers.
As a thank you for completing the questionnaire,
FM World will enter you into a free prize draw to win £500. The winner will be revealed in January 2009.
The deadline for filling out the questionnaire is
10 November 2008.
