Contract cleaning firm Regent Office Care has been bought by French FM provider Samsic Group for an undisclosed sum.
Regent Cleaning, founded in 1986 in Surrey, will continue under the management of sales and marketing director John Critchell and operations director Jonathan King. It has eight locations, 3,000 employees and a £20 million turnover.
Regent operates in the commercial, leisure, health care and educational sectors and clients include Ministry of Justice, the NHS blood and transplant service and Matthew Boulton College, soon to merge with Sutton Coldfield College in Birmingham.
Rennes-based Samsic Group, also founded in 1986, has over 40,000 employees and more than 10,000 clients in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Spain and Portugal. Turnover is around 1.3 billion euros.
