This year’s ThinkFM conference is open for bookings, offering a special early bird rate on a packed, full-day programme, making this a must-attend event.
The ThinkFM conference takes place on 18 June at the Royal College of Physicians in London and is brought to you by the BIFM in association with Workplace Law.
The conference is not exclusive to members of either the BIFM or the college – ThinkFM is open to the entire facilities management community.
All FMs are urged to get involved to discuss this year’s theme, ‘Ideas for Change: How great facilities management makes the difference’.
The day-long programme for 2012 is split into three main hubs:
1. Workplace: Making spaces work
2. People: Inspiring the team
3. Competitive advantage: Driving performance and value
Sessions within the hubs will focus on core FM topics such as sustainability, purchasing, resource efficiency, building information modelling (BIM) and outsourcing and refurbishment. The sessions will also look at associated topics such as social media, cloud computing, communications, employment law, improving margins and trends in design.
Gareth Tancred, interim chief executive of the BIFM, says ThinkFM is all about flexibility for the delegate.
“We empower delegates to create their own agenda from the three hubs which run concurrently,” he says.
“They can focus on one hub or move across all three, going to sessions which appeal to them. Our ‘Programme Advisory Group’ has worked hard to deliver a comprehensive programme, which includes a rich variety of case studies, panel discussions, practical sessions and seminars. I am really excited about this year’s event.”
Early bird bookings offer significant savings on the delegate fee and are available on or before 23 March 2012.
In addition to the early-bird savings, BIFM and Workplace Law members benefit from additional savings. The delegate fee includes the full day’s programme, refreshments, lunch and early evening networking reception.

ThinkFM 2012 follows the success of ThinkFM 2011, which introduced the popular hub format allowing delegates to build their conference agenda based on their professional development needs or interests.
The Royal College of Physicians in London will host the event this year. The college is an elegant, award-winning, modern building, situated in a stunning setting overlooking Regent’s Park in the heart of London.
ThinkFM will include a day of learning, debate, interaction and networking. Delegates will take away new ideas to implement in their organisations to make a difference.
