Holborn Building Services (Holborn BS) has secured a contract to undertake planned and reactive maintenance on air conditioning systems at sites operated by West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS).

The contract from facilities management company J Tomlinson Ltd, covers 24 sites including the WMAS main headquarters, outlying ambulance station hubs, emergency call centres, drug storage areas and offices.

As well as maintaining the standard split air conditioning units and larger VRV multi-split type air conditioning, Holborn will also maintain the close control air conditioning in the server rooms.

Holborn BS director Nick Scragg said: “Our resources ensure we can easily fulfil the demands of the contract, including the necessary 24/7 emergency call-out service and a four-hour response time. All of the equipment we will be maintaining is well known to us, but the server room cooling system is very familiar to our engineers.”
