Norse Commercial Services has signed a local authority partnership with Daventry District Council in Northamptonshire.

Under the 10-year, £50 million agreement, Daventry Norse will deliver a wide range of services from June next year, including waste and recycling collections for households and businesses, litter picking and street sweeping on public roads and paths, maintenance on roadsides and council land of bushes, grounds and trees, maintaining play equipment, clearing fly-tipping and removing graffiti.

Norse managing director Dean Wetteland said: “We will be making significant investment in facilities and equipment for environmental services, including a new fleet of vehicles, machinery and equipment and the redevelopment of the environmental depot and offices at High March Daventry.”

Norse also operates a partnership agreement providing similar services with Wellingborough Council in Northamptonshire.

Following this new agreement, Norse will be providing waste and environmental services in nine of its 16 partnerships.
