Leamington Spa-based T(n)S Catering has stepped in to take charge of catering services at The Faringdon Academy of Schools, most of which had been managed by Carillion.

The Faringdon Academy of Schools is a group of eight schools in Oxfordshire.

Carillion had catered for four of the schools while T(n)S managed the catering for three of the schools.

The academy asked T(n)S to implement an emergency survival plan immediately after staff had been informed that Carillion might go into liquidation, affecting staff, suppliers and ultimately the meals services at four schools.

The survival plan was designed after discussions between the academy and T(n)S Catering’s sales director Karen Thompson, operations director Richard Drewett, and operations manager Paul Stephenson.

Plans were put in place to “maintain the service without interruption or compromise on quality should the worse happen”.
