Kier Group plc has reported that its Kier Workplace Services (KWS) division, formed in July 2016, has made a ‘significant contribution’ to the company’s overall performance over the year to June 2017.

In a statement supporting the group’s financial results, Kier pointed to KWS’s success in securing places on several design, asset management and consultancy frameworks, citing:

  • • The £2.8 billion four-year Crown Commercial Service (CCS) project management & full design team services framework;

  • • The £430 million four-year CCS estates professional services framework;
  • • The £90m four-year Fusion21 consultants framework: and
  • • The £50m, two-year ESPO consultancy services framework.

The framework appointments added to a number of FM contract gains including those with the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (two-year hard FM), NHS Business Services Authority (three-year hard FM) and Sensor City Liverpool, part of John Moores University (one-year total FM).

Steve Davies, managing director of Kier Workplace Services, welcomed the results.

“We’ve secured substantial wins across our core sectors in our first 12 months, demonstrating our growing reputation.

“Our expertise in FM and business services is underpinned by the integrated offer of the wider group and means we’re able to offer public and private sector clients a complete solution for their business needs.”
