This is the security buyers' guide section for 2011, with a comprehensive list of all the FM related companies in the industry.
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry. As a non-departmental public body we have two main duties.
One is the compulsory licensing of individuals undertaking designated activities within the private security industry; the other is to manage the voluntary Approved Contractor Scheme which measures private security suppliers against independently assessed criteria.
We work with many different organisations, including the Home Office, courts in England, Wales and Scotland, local authorities and police forces.
